Symphony No.4 in A major Opus 90 (1) Felix Mendelssohn
In this album of Movie Masterpieces, Classic FM's Nick Bailey discovers Morricone's varying style throughout his soundtracks
Composer: Ennio Morricone

One of my all time favourite film soundtracks is The Mission, in which Morricone captured the essence of South America, but until listening to this CD I had no idea he’d written so many other familiar film scores. It all started in the 60s with the ‘Spaghetti’ Westerns – the ‘Dollars’ trilogy is included on the album, along with such wonderful gems as Cinema Paradiso and The Untouchables. Morricone’s strength is that each score sounds completely different.
