Andrea Bocelli announces first-ever headline concert in Wales

Acclaimed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli returns to Wales for the first time in 22 years.

Andrea Bocelli, the Italian tenor best known for ‘Con Te Partirò’, often called by its English title ‘Time to Say Goodbye’, has announced he will return to perform in Wales for the first time in 22 years.

The 67-year-old will be the main act to perform at the inaugural Land of Song Festival, held in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 8 May 2027, in his first-ever Welsh headline appearance.

The festival celebrates Wales’ long and rich singing tradition, which has been part of Welsh cultural life for generations. The country has produced many of the UK’s great musical talents, including Sir Karl Jenkins, Sir Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, and Classic FM presenter Aled Jones.

In addition to Andrea Bocelli’s performance, there will also be two spectacular mass choirs: the Côr World Choir and Young Voices Cymru, with more than 30,000 singers already registered to participate.

The Land of Song Festival takes place from 7 to 9 May 2027, with Andrea Bocelli performing for one night only on 8 May.
