David Mellor: Sunday 2 December 2012 - Debussy

This week, David Mellor dedicates two hours to Debussy and Massenet.

As 2012 begins to draw to a close, David Mellor dedicates a couple of hours to two French composers whose anniversaries have been marked this year: Massenet, who died a century ago, and Debussy, who was born 150 years ago. 

David concentrates on Debussy’s piano pieces, such as the Suite Bergamasque and Children’s Corner, and Massenet’s operatic works, paying particular attention to Manon.
