Howard Goodall presents a 'back to school' special, featuring films about teachers and their pupils.

This week, Howard heads off to Hogwarts, naturally, as the new school term begins.

He'll also encounter the Belles of St. Trinian's and there'll be music from Notes on a Scandal, Dead Poets Society (pictured) and Tom Brown's Schooldays.  

Rarely heard soundtracks include Paul Englishby's beautiful music for An Education and an Italian film score by Nino Rota inspired by a girls' finishing school.
