Saturday Night at the Movies: Saturday 28 September 2013
A celebration of the contribution made by the London Symphony Orchestra to the world of film music.
On this week's show, Howard Goodall celebrates the London Symphony Orchestra's extraordinary contribution to film music.
As movie music maestro John Williams' orchestra of choice, the LSO has recorded the official soundtracks for Star Wars and Superman. It has also collaborated with a wide range of other movie composers over the past 50 years, right up to the present day with Patrick Doyle's Brave.
From historic scores to modern-day blockbusters, Howard promises two hours of film music from one of the world's finest orchestras.
