Favourite film scores on Howard's list this week include Max Steiner's Gone with the Wind, Elmer Bernstein’s The Great Escape and Morricone’s A Fistful of Dollars, as well as some wonderful, lesser-known scores that Howard has dug out of the archives.
Among the highlights are Ron Goodwin’s music for Lancelot and Guinevere, Arthur Bliss’s score for Things to Come, and the brilliant Dmitri Tiomkin’s soundtracks for The Alamo and The Four Poster. There's also a visit to The Inn of the Sixth Happiness with Malcolm Arnold, and a celebration of Korngold with his scores for The Adventures of Robin Hood and The Sea Hawk.
