Saturday Night at the Movies: 12 January 2013

This week, Howard Goodall celebrates the life of Richard Rodney Bennett and the new movie adaptation of Les Misérables.

Richard Rodney Bennett, who sadly passed away in December, was one of Britain's most revered film composers. This week, Howard honours the great man's contribution to movie music by playing highlights from Murder On The Orient Express, Far From The Madding Crowd and Tender Is The Night. Howard will also be playing music from the brand new film adaptation of the all-conquering musical Les Misérables, which features the vocal talents of its stars Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman.
