In this, the month that we mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, Howard Goodall presents a programme of film scores linked by the theme of remembrance.
There will be plenty of music from John Williams – Schindler's List, 'Hymn to the Fallen' from Saving Private Ryan, and 'Remembering Munich' from Munich. There will also be Dario Marianelli's beautiful 'Elegy for Dunkirk' from the film Atonement and music from Ron Goodwin's score to Battle of Britain.
Plus – highlights from Vaughan Williams' score to Scott of the Antarctic, and something from the beautiful soundtrack to Casualties of War by Ennio Morricone.
