Saturday Night at the Movies: 17 November 2012 - Maurice Jarre

This Saturday's show is a Maurice Jarre special as Howard marks the 50th anniversary of Lawrence of Arabia.

Saturday 17 November:

Howard celebrates the life and work of French composer and conductor Maurice Jarre. Jarre is best known for his film scores, particularly for his collaborations with film director David Lean. He composed the scores to all of Lean's films after scoring Lawrence of Arabia in 1962.

Maurice Jarre was a three time Academy Award winner, for Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Doctor Zhivago (1965), and A Passage to India (1984) and he was Oscar nominated a total of eight times.
