Tenor Jonas Kaufmann storms the Chart, taking the No.1 spot and four other places in the Top 30.
If it's lovely and lyrical, Jonas Kaufmann can belt it out with considerable style, from Schubert to showtunes, and of course glorious Puccini verismo arias which have landed him the No.1 spot in this week's Chart, ousting Max Richter's Sleep after just one week at the top. He's also enjoying an unprecedented position in the UK's Top 30 best-selling albums chart. It's the first Puccini arias album ever to enter the Top 30.
But the German tenor is also new in the Classic FM Chart at No.7 with The Best of Jonas Kaufmann, at No.12 with You Mean the World to Me, and there are three other albums by him riding high in the Chart. Is there no stopping him?
