Charlotte talks to Michael Morpurgo about On Angel Wings, his retelling of the Christmas story - and plays her usual mix of fantastic classical music.

Michael Morpurgo is a former Children's Laureate who is best known for being the author of War Horse, the children's book that went on to become a blockbuster theatre production. 

Among other things, Morpurgo will talk to Charlotte about On Angel Wings, his retelling of the Christmas story, published last year with whimsical illustrations by Roald Dahl collaborator Quentin Blake. You can see the illustrations by clicking on the gallery below.

This year, On Angel Wings is being performed as a carol concert at St John's Smith Square, London, with Morpurgo narrating.
