Pianist Tokio Myers has just been crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and wowed the judges with his musical mash-ups where Debussy meets Ed Sheeran, and Craig Armstrong meets Hanz Zimmer and Rag N Bone Man

He spoke to Charlotte Green about life after winning and why he wants to collaborate with Nigel Kennedy and grime artist Skepta.

“I literally feel like everyday’s been my birthday since winning,” he told Classic FM before discussing the artists he hopes to collaborate with.

“I would love to work with Nigel Kennedy, I think that’d be awesome, I would love to work with Skepta, I’d love to work with Ed Sheeran, I’d love to work with The Weeknd, I’d love to work with an amazing ballet dancer and shoot an amazing video or something like that.”

He’s also a Classic FM fan and told Charlotte he listens to the station every day.

“Whenever I listen to classical music I feel very pure, very relaxed, more sharp,” he said. “I feel sharper. It’s magic, man, I love it.”

Here's one of Tokio's performances – in which melded Debussy with Ed Sheeran – and won the admiration of the judges:
