A violin and cello duo turned a Handel Passacaglia into an astonishing interpretation of Metallica’s classic ‘Enter Sandman’, complete with face-melting guitar solos.
The fretwork of James Hatfield and Kirk Hammett has gone down in the annals of rock history. But this string duo decided that you don’t need amps and distortion pedals to recreate their finger-widdling prowess.
This video of Terence Tam (violin) and Brian Yoon (cello) shows the intrepid duo beginning with a Handel Passacaglia, but it soon morphs into something rather more adventurous.
