A 17th-century church plays out David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’, on what would have been the music icon’s 73rd birthday.

The legacy of David Bowie lives on, as today the world celebrates what would have been the music legend’s 73rd birthday.

And the wonderful people behind this 17th-century church in Amsterdam decided to pay tribute to Bowie’s legacy, in their own unique way.

Passers-by stop and listen as the church steeple plays out a beautiful, rather sorrowful rendition of ‘Life on Mars’.
