Here’s what happened when airport staff wouldn’t let this orchestra bring their instrument cases on board….

This orchestra – Pokrovsky Opera on Facebook – were travelling from Riga airport in Latvia to Moscow, Russia, when they were stopped at security with their instrument cases.

Airport staff wouldn’t allow the orchestra to take their cases on board, and insisted the musicians check them into the hold.

But the musicians were concerned that their instruments would be damaged in the hold, so they decided to simply remove them from their cases.

They placed the cases in the hold, but the instruments themselves? They carried them on board, and played Monti’s Csárdás for all the other passengers – who absolutely loved it.
