London Theatre of the Year (The Stage Awards 2017), Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is a summertime essential and an experience not to be missed.

Featuring an incredible score by Leonard Bernstein, On The Town launches their 2017 season (19 May – 1 Jul), directed and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner Drew McOnie. The Open Air Theatre’s biggest dance musical yet, the cast features Strictly Come Dancing finalist Danny Mac, alongside Fred Haig and Jeremy Taylor in roles made famous on film by Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munshin.. New York, New York – it’s a helluva town!

Bringing two of Charles Dickens’s most popular stories out in the open, Dickens Uncovered celebrates the greatest storyteller of London life: Artistic Director Timothy Sheader directs A Tale of Two Cities (7 Jul – 5 Aug) in a new play by Matthew Dunster adapted from the Dickens novel and, in Oliver Twist created for everyone aged six and over (17 Jul – 5 Aug), writer Anya Reiss adapts the gripping original for families, directed by Caroline Byrne.

To conclude the season, last year’s smash-hit production of Jesus Christ Superstar returns for just 41 performances (11 Aug – 16 Sep) having received six Olivier Award nominations and winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical.
