1968: Elmer Bernstein composed the 1920s-influenced incidental score for the film adaptation of Throughly Modern Millie starring Julie Andrews, which sits alongside musical numbers arranged and conducted by André Previn. Previn was nominated for the ‘Scoring of Music – Adaptation or Treatment’ award but lost to Camelot by Ken Darby and Alfred Newman.
