1972: Prolific film composer Michel Legrand’s main theme ‘The Summer Knows’ has been covered by singers from Frank Sinatra to Sarah Vaughan. This was also the year John Williams took home his first Oscar, winning the Scoring: Adaptation award for ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.
