5. Opera North Children’s Chorus
Launched in 2011, the Opera North Children's Chorus (ONCC) is the only children’s chorus led by a professional opera company in the UK. Led by Music Director Justin Doyle, the ONCC comprises 100 boys and girls aged 7 to 13, from all backgrounds in Leeds. Expert training and guidance provided through weekly rehearsals, enables the children to develop outstanding musicianship and leads to opportunities to perform to the highest standard, including as part of Opera North’s main stage productions.
