If you thought it would be safe to put your viola case over your shoulder and walk the streets of New York City, you would be terribly, heart-breakingly wrong.

In 2014, a covertly filmed viral video '10 Hours of Walking in New York City as a Woman' showed a woman walking around the city. The result was a video that exposed the shocking number of comments and relentless harassment women face every day in New York and around the world.

In a niche muso follow-up, classical-spoof website Submediant investigated what the streets of New York were for the most misunderstood of musicians, the viola player.

The video shows a shocking level of anti-viola sentiment and prejudice that all musicians should see.
