A cringe pianistic muddle to get yourself into...
For all those who have ever embellished their CVs or social media biographies with inaccurate abilities... well, consider this a warning.
This tweeter's eager-to-empress friend got himself into a pianistic pickle doing just that:
My friend lied on his cv that he mastered the piano at age 15 and now he's been asked if he can play for the board of directors on friday.— Javier Acosta (@Shimz_Afc) August 31, 2016
Twitter laughed, but then also had some suggestions for wriggling out of this clavier conundrum...
Thanks to whoever first tweeted the carpal tunnel syndrome excuse. Mate used it and he doesn't have to play anymore tomorrow.— Javier Acosta (@Shimz_Afc) September 1, 2016
We suggested an impassioned performance of John Cage's 4'33" could also have worked.
