Bandura and accordion vivaldi

By Lizzie Davis

The Bandura is a plucked string instrument – and the national instrument of Ukraine. And Tatyana Mazur and Sergey Shamrai, of the B&B Project are showing exactly what it’s capable of. This is Vivaldi as you’ve never heard it before

Tatyana plays the bandura with Sergey on the button accordion and their YouTube channel includes music from Vivaldi to Metallica.

But this version of Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’ is quite something

This section depicts a sudden summer storm – in the poems which are supposed to have inspired the work the lines said: “the heavens roar and great hailstones beat down.”

You can see more from the B&B Project on their Facebook page and YouTube channel.
