This 1994 movie was written and directed by Frank Darabont and based on the Stephen King novella 'Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption'. The film stars Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne and Morgan Freeman as Ellis 'Red' Redding.

The Score: Nominated for an Academy Award in 2004, Thomas Newman's score to this film reflects the emotional intensity of the film. A particular highlight of the movie was the beautiful 'Sull Aria' from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera 'Le Nozze di Figaro', which was broadcast live to the prisoners.
