See John Murphy’s Adagio in D Minor accompany some inspiring footage taken from the International Space Station.

Movie composer John Murphy’s music for the film Sunshine has been used to soundtrack some incredible footage captured by the International Space Station. The time-lapse footage, made up of still photographs taken by the crew, is accompanied by Murphy’s Adagio in D Minor.

In Danny Boyle’s sci-fi movie Sunshine, the crew of a spaceship are tasked with re-igniting the ailing sun by flying a huge bomb into it. Thankfully the mission of the International Space Station is rather less perilous and, with help from the music of John Murphy, available for all to see.

John Murphy is a film music veteran, having composed music for films such as 28 Days Later, Snatch and Kick-Ass among many others. The soundtrack for Sunshine was partly composed in collaboration with electronic act Orbital.
