Maxim Vengerov is one of the world’s very best violinists. Ahead of his performance at this month’s Classic FM Live, we asked him to share his top tip for getting the most out of practice and the piece of advice he’d give to all aspiring musicians

Vengerov is one of today’s great virtuosos – known for wrestling with the warhorse concertos of the classical world, from Tchaikovsky to Brahms.
