The legendary tenor will perform at Kenwood House in London on 16 June 2019 – and he'll be joined by the brilliant young cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
José Carreras is one of the world’s most famous singers, having shot to super stardom as one of The Three Tenors, alongside Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti in the 1990s.
The great tenor, now aged 71, will perform a one-off concert at Kenwood House in London on Sunday 16 June 2019. The concert is part of Carreras’ farewell tour and will be his musical farewell to the UK capital.
And today, 12 March, it has been announced that the brilliant young cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason will join him for the concert.
He'll be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and will appear with soprano Christina Johnston and conductor David Giménez, who’s worked with Carreras for 25 years.
Kenwood House is in London’s Hampstead Heath and this concert is one of a set of events that will take place over the weekend of 14-16 June in the Heritage Live Concert Series.
Tickets are available via a Ticketmaster pre-sale from 9am on Wednesday 28 November here.
