Andrea Bocelli and his family have produced a selection of wines, now receiving rave reviews from critics.
Celebrity wine is not a new concept - Cliff Richard, Barry Manilow and even AC/DC have all bottled the fruits of their vineyards - but now tenor Andrea Bocelli's brand of vino is wowing the critics.
Made in collaboration with the tenor's brother Alberto, the selection of wines are bottled under the 'Bocelli Family' label at their estate in Tuscany. Far from being just another celebrity wine, the red Rosso Toscana has been described in a review as "worthy of a bow by the Bocelli brothers."
It seems that the wine truly is a family affair and not just a cash-in on Andrea Bocelli's day-job as the biggest-selling classical music artist in the world. According to the Bocelli Family website, "If there is one thing that Andrea, brother Alberto, and their family love to do, it is to share their special Italian culture with friends around the world."
There are currently five wines available, including a Prosecco, "bursting with fresh peach and mineral aromas." According to the estate's website, Andrea spent his youth on the family's farm, learning about how to produce wine and ultimately keeping his family's wine-making tradition alive.
