Flight of the Bumblebee on 101 Bottles!
00:32
Three guys have created a mad arrangement of ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’, using 101 beer bottles and three butter knives. You’re going to love this.
When you tap a piece of cutlery on a glass bottle, you can change the note it produces by adding and subtracting liquid to and from the bottle. But these three viral sensations have taken this trick a step further.
Colm O’Regan, Patrick O’Connor and Brendan O’Connor had four or five hours to kill during a rainy night in Trieste, Italy – and exactly 101 spare bottles to use.
So, they filled up each bottle until they perfectly recreated the notes of Rimsky-Korsakov’s ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’, and performed a new arrangement of the interlude using three butter knives and a lot of running around.
Hats off to Colm, Patrick and Brendan for a stellar Stella performance.
Now, here’s YouTuber Beanzo whistling the entire first movement of Bach’s The Art of Fugue on even more glass bottles.
