Win a pair of tickets to see piano superstar Lang Lang, including dinner and an overnight stay at The Kensington hotel.
Love Classical is a 12-day festival of classical music-themed events taking place across seven different spaces around London’s Royal Albert Hall, from the iconic auditorium to deep underground in the Loading Bay.
Big acts confirmed to play include pianist Lang Lang, violinist Nigel Kennedy with special guests Robert Plant, Jean Luc Ponty, Michael Guttman and Pieter Daniel, and trumpeter Alison Balsom with special guests Bryn Terfel, Guy Barker and David Goode.
The winner of this competition will receive two stalls tickets for the performance by Lang Lang on Monday 13 March and dinner for two before the show in the Hall’s beautiful dining space - Coda. Alongside a bottle of house wine, you’ll enjoy two courses from a set menu offering seasonal and modern British dishes crafted with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients of excellence.
They will then enjoy an overnight stay at The Kensington in a deluxe category room with English breakfast for two people. Set in the heart of one of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods, this luxury hotel is just a short walk away from the Royal Albert Hall with warm open fires found across the hotel’s ground floor reception rooms, high ceilings and heritage décor evoking a sense of Victorian grandeur.
The festival kicks off on Saturday 4 March with the London Contemporary Orchestra gig, and finishes with Lang Lang’s second headline show on Wednesday 15 March. There are also opportunities to hear Catrin Finch, Gary Ryan and view a free photography exhibition. Innovations at the festival include the chance to compose a piece for one-handed pianist Nicholas McCarthy to perform at his Elgar Room show and the London Contemporary Orchestra’s innovative gig in the Loading Bay.
