Enjoy a fantastic concert and an overnight stay at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
On Sunday 23 April, violinist Maxim Vengerov –the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra’s Artist in Residence – returns to Oxford’s historic Sheldonian Theatre to perform two of Mozart’s masterworks. And we’re giving you the chance to win tickets!
Joined first by Concertmaster Natalia Lomeiko for Mozart’s spirited Concertone of 1774, Vengerov then performs his Violin Concerto No. 5 - an evocation of the elite Turkish Janissary soldiers of the Ottoman sultans' infantry. Music Director Marios Papadopoulos brings the concert to a close with a jewel of Beethoven's symphonic work, his fourth symphony, its finale bursting with joy and elation.
In addition to a pair of premium tickets to the concert, this incredible prize includes an overnight stay and breakfast at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. Raymond Blanc OBE's quintessential country house hotel. Situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, it is also one of the country's most cherished manor house hotels, with 32 individually designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel was awarded two Michelin stars in 1984, the first year of opening, and, remarkably, has held them ever since. Surrounded by lawns, flower borders and orchards, the luxury hotel enjoys an idyllic, typically English setting.
But beyond the eye-catching displays are vegetable and herb gardens that provide the kitchen—and the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School—with ultra-fresh, organic produce, ensuring the Michelin-star restaurant remains at the cutting edge of culinary excellence.
