Margherita Taylor

Margherita’s laid-back style has made her a big hit with late night Classic FM listeners, but she’s equally at home on stage hosting large-scale concert events.

    • Margherita is equally at home presenting for Classic FM, interviewing the Prime Minister or fronting television shows.

    • As well as hosting Smooth Classics from 10pm to 1am every weekday evening, she can be regularly heard on Classic FM’s sister station, Heart.

    • After graduating from the University of Central England in Birmingham, Margherita began her radio career at the city’s BRMB before moving to another of Classic FM’s sister stations, Capital Radio.

    • Margherita first appeared on Classic FM in April 2007, presenting the six-part series 'When Classic Meets Jazz', which examined what happens when jazz and classical music come together. She became part of the station’s regular on-air presenter team a year later.

    • As well as her thriving radio career she has worked on numerous television shows, including Channel 4’s pop strand T4 and BBC1’s Top Of The Pops.

    • She is an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and is heavily involved in supporting our charity, The Classic FM Foundation.

    • Margherita regularly hosts Classic FM Live concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and also presents the annual Schools Proms across three nights each November.
