It's St. Cecilia’s Day today and to celebrate the Patron Saint of musicians, Howard Goodall presents two hours of scores from movies about music, from Mr Holland's Opus and Amadeus to The Piano and The Pianist.

Howard will also include music from a recent Sundance festival hit Whiplash, due for release in the UK next year. It's the story of a promising young drummer who enrolls at a cutthroat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realise a student's potential.
