About Tommy Pearson
Saturday Night at the Movies, Saturdays 5pm-7pm
In a short series of special interviews on Saturday Night at the Movies, Tommy Pearson is talking to some of movie music's biggest name composers.
After an early career as a percussionist and composer, Tommy became one of the busiest voices on radio.
Film music has dominated much of Tommy's career, as concert producer, host and broadcaster.
He has produced and hosted major concerts around the world including the World Soundtrack Awards in Ghent; Concert for CARE, one of the biggest film music concerts ever staged at the Royal Albert Hall; Soundtrack to Your Summer with the CBSO, that featured concerts, screenings and two performances with actor Sir Anthony Hopkins, which resulted in a No.1 album.
Tommy has also hosted countless talks and events on film music, including BAFTA's Conversations with Screen Composers, interviewing the biggest names in the industry.
Tommy set up Red Ted Productions in 2006 and it fast became one of the UK’s leading filmmakers for arts organisations, publishers and record companies making broadcast programmes, promos, features and online content.
In 2014, Red Ted Productions became Orchid Media, a division of Orchid Classics. As Creative Director, Tommy oversees every aspect of the company’s productions and projects and works closely with all clients.
