Notes from Hidden Britain, presented by Ben Fogle - a musical road trip where we paused each week at a familiar region of Britain to examine its less familiar musical history.
Mendelssohn stayed for some time in Edinburgh. Besides swimming in the Firth of Forth he climbed Arthur's Seat for glorious views of the city and beyond, and visited Holyrood Palace.
