Every Saturday night at 9pm-10pm, David Mellor reviews all the latest classical music releases.
David Mellor's Album of the Week comes from the young Taiwanese-Australian violinist Ray Chen.
Since winning the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin Competition in 2008, Ray Chen has established himself as one of the world’s most exciting young violinists.
This week David Mellor picks Chen's first all-Mozart album as his Album of the Week. Chen performs two of the composer’s violin concertos, together with an orchestra of exceptional young instrumentalists who come together for the annual Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in northern Germany.
