Jane Jones is here Monday to Wednesday from 8pm with two hours of full works. On Thursday and Friday, Catherine Bott is in the hot seat.
Yesterday, we finished counting down this year’s Classic FM Hall of Fame – the UK’s biggest annual survey of classical music tastes. Now, Jane Jones spends a few weeks profiling music from the latest chart – all performed in full.
Tonight’s concert is bookended with two fine piano concertos – and in between, there’s a contemporary choral classic by Eric Whitacre, and the beautiful Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky.
