The Full Works Concert – Friday 27 September

Jane Jones presents a concert of music featuring the artists who were scheduled to appear in last night's Classic FM Live concert.

Last night, we had to cancel our Classic FM Live concert at the Royal Albert Hall on the instructions of London Fire Brigade. We know how disappointing it was for everyone there that the concert didn’t go ahead.

In tonight's Full Works Concert, Jane Jones features the artists who should have been on stage at the Royal Albert Hall.

The concert includes 11-year-old choirboy Jack Topping singing You'll Never Walk Alone, from his yet-to-be-released album; pianist Joseph Moog - pictured - performing Rubinstein's Piano Concerto No.4; Clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer playing the two pieces he was due to perform at the Royal Albert Hall - Debussy's The Girl with the Flaxen Hair and an arrangement of Gershwin's Prelude No.1; Hayley Westenra singing Paul Mealor's Sleep On; accordion maestro Martynas playing Lady Gaga's Telephone; music from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force's most recent recording, Nigel Hess's New London Pictures; orchestral pieces performed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia and, to conclude, an orchestra-and-chorus version of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
