The Full Works Concert - Friday 1 February 2013: Great Orchestras of the World

Tonight, Jane Jones begins a month-long series profiling many of the world’s finest orchestras, from the UK and beyond.

We begin with the internationally-renowned, Munich-based Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Jane will feature their performances of Mozart’s Flute Concerto in G major, conducted by Gunter Wand, the Symphony No.4 by Tchaikovsky with Mariss Jansons on the podium and also works by Mendelssohn and Smetana.
