The Full Works Concert - Friday 9 November 2012: Saint-Saens

It’s an all-French affair this Friday night, as Nick Bailey presents two hours of full works by Saint-Saens.

Among the highlights, we’ll enjoy the whole of the Symphony No.3 (‘Organ’) and a brilliant new recording of the Piano Concerto No.2 from the young British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor.  Plus – the beautiful Violin Concerto No.3, performed by Rachel Kolly d’Alba, and a rarely-heard piece by Saint-Saens that’s inspired by both Denmark and Russia.
