Jane Jones presents Classic FM's exclusive coverage of the final of the James Mottram International Piano Competition, held for the fourth time at the Royal Northern College of Music.
The competition took place at the RNCM in Manchester, 24-29 November last year.
After preliminary rounds, three competitors were selected to go through to the Final Concerto Round accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Vasily Petrenko. The first prize winner received £10,000 and a series of concert engagements.
The finalists are: Giuseppe Guarrera from Sicily, Alexander Panfilov from Russia (pictured), and Kausikan Rajeshkumar from London.
