Jane Jones is here Monday to Wednesday from 8pm with two hours of full works. On Thursday and Friday, Catherine Bott is in the hot seat.
The best of the new releases are featured all this week on the Full Works Concert – and tonight, Jane Jones begins with a great new recording of Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 (‘Eroica’) from the Tafelmusik Orchestra conducted by Bruno Weil.
We’ll also dip into the new album Rodgers and Hammerstein at the Movies to showcase the talents of the John Wilson Orchestra, and there’ll be a complete performance of Haydn’s Symphony No.85 (‘La Reine’) from the Handel and Haydn Society conducted by Harry Christophers. Plus – who on earth is Johann Peter Pixis, and why is his Piano Concerto definitely worth discovering? Join Jane to find out!
