The Full Works Concert - Tuesday 13 November 2012: Grieg

Tonight's Full Works Concert is dedicated to the music of Grieg.

On a Full Works Concert dedicated to the music of Grieg, what are the absolute must-haves?  The famous Peer Gynt Suite No.1?  Well, we’ll start with that tonight.  The wonderful Piano Concerto?  That’ll be our second full work, in a brilliant recording from the pianist Stephen Hough.  How about the Holberg Suite?  That’s included, too.  What’s more, Jane Jones also promises to champion some lesser-known Grieg, including the beautiful String Quartet No.1, alongside some haunting choral music.  It all starts at 8 tonight.
