The RNCM James Mottram International Piano Competition special broadcast
On 1st December, the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester hosted the final of the prestigious James Mottram International Piano Competition – and Classic FM was there to record the evening’s performances, for exclusive broadcast tonight.
Three soloists battled it out, all performing concertos alongside the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – but only one could be named the winner. The three senior finalists perform their chosen work from a shortlist of concertos by Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg, Liszt, Mozart and Schumann. Join Jane from 8pm for a fantastic concert of music, which you can only hear on Classic FM.
