Nick Ferrari returns to Classic FM with a new series of our flagship interview programme on Sunday night from 9pm-10pm.
In a fascinating interview, David Mitchell spoke to Nick Ferrari about his love of Elgar, why he thinks there’s so much great British comedy and about being posh "I'm a posh pleb…not as posh as David Cameron but posher than Frank Skinner."
David Mitchell came to the nation's attention in the comedy Peep Show which was described by Ricky Gervais as the best British comedy on TV. Peep Show went on to win two BAFTAs, including one for Best Comedy Performance which David was awarded.
A Cambridge graduate, David was the president of Footlights when he met Robert Webb, the other half of the comedy partnership Mitchell and Webb, a duo which has led some to refer to them as the Fry and Laurie of their day.
In this revealing interview David talks openly about the reason he’s unable to cry and why he never goes in to a pub with a flat roof!
