The most famous piece by the versatile, Venice-based musician Lotti (1667-1740) . Crucifixus is at once typically Baroque and firmly rooted in the older renaissance tradition. The motet actually comes from a larger work: Lotti's Credo in F for choir and orchestra which is, in turn, a movement of a complete mass setting.
