Continuing Classic FM's journey uncovering Classical music secrets from around Britain, we followed Ben Fogle to the Midlands
Heading east towards Birmingham's neighbour, Leicester, we stop at Gopsall Park Farm near Twycross where legend has it Handel composed part of Messiah in the temple in the grounds of the estate. Handel was close friends with librettist and lord of the manor, Charles Jennens and was a frequent visitor to the grand home.
