4. Birmingham Town Hall, Notes From Hidden Britain
The impressive Birmingham Town Hall was built in 1834 and was the world's first purpose-design concert hall and was designed in the style of the Temple of Castor and Pollux in Rome. Its design was so success that it became the template for subsequent halls, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
