The New Releases Show with David Mellor: Saturday 15 February 2014

Mendelssohn in Birmingham is among David's pick of the best new releases this week.

In his never-ending quest for new classical releases David Mellor is off to Birmingham, with his 'Connoisseur's Choice' Mendelssohn in Birmingham.

But life on the road doesn’t end there as David also hops over to France for his 'Choice for the Curious' featuring wind ensemble Les Vents Francais and an array of French musical fancies.

Plus, David’s 'Album of the Week' sees the late Claudio Abbado conduct one of his very last recordings with Orchestra Mozart and the pianist Martha Argerich
