David Mellor opts for a sublime new vocal album from VOCES8 as his Album of the Week.
The choral ensemble VOCES8 is about to release its first album, Eventide , on the Decca label and the recording is already making waves. David Mellor has picked it as his Album of the Week this week, and from Monday, it's also John Suchet 's Album of the Week.
It's a sublime mixture of latin hymn tunes and contemporary choral classics from the likes of Eric Whitacre , Patrick Hawes and John Williams . And, as David himself says, "What an excellent album this is."
