The Full Works Concert: Friday 20 March 2015, 8pm

It's RLPO Friday - and there's a chance to hear an exclusive broadcast of a concert of works that inspired and influenced Benjamin Britten.

On tonight’s Full Works Concerts, Catherine Bott continues Classic FM's year-long series featuring our Orchestra in the North West, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. 

Tonight’s exclusive concert is a performance originally recorded in 2013 as part of events marking the centenary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, conducted by Andrew Manze and featuring music that inspired and influenced the composer.

We also hear from another British composer, Britten's contemporary William Walton and his popular coronation piece, Crown Imperial.
